Money Smart Week 2022

Join us for Virtual Money Smart Week, April 9 -16, 2022.  The event will focus on one daily “Money Smart” theme. Content will be provided by government, non-profit and educational institutions through a combination of live streamed events and select resources. Money Smart Week programming will focus on supporting the needs of low-to-moderate income households - those most affected by Covid-19 - to encourage greater financial well-being in their communities.

FLRT has compiled a resource list of community partners offering a variety of programs available to libraries.  Topics include budgeting, financing college, identity theft and cybersecurity, saving by organizing your household and money smart programs for kids!  Schedule a program today!

Financial Literacy Materials

The CFPB and the U.S. Government Printing Office provide free promotional and educational materials on many financial topics.  Formats include posters, bookmarks, booklets, flyers, DVDs and more!  Orders are shipped free to libraries. CFPB support materials.

Financial Literacy Awareness

April is Financial Literacy Month and FLRT celebrates with Money Smart Week, a national campaign of the Chicago Federal Reserve to create awareness of services and resources, and to promote financial education programs. Money Smart Week is supported by the American Library Association. Find out how you can become a Money Smart Week partner on the MSW site, as well as find webinars, program inspiration, and MSW promotional materials.
